Can't believe we're halfway through the second week of Carlos's holidays! We've been taking advantage of the sunshine to go out for walks, and the other day we walked to the lake and saw a bunch of boats out on the water... it sounded like they were having fun. On our way back we were 'adopted' by a black lab, who followed us around and then decided he should lead us home, all the while looking back to see if we were following him, and if we weren't, he would change directions so that he would go the same way as us! Poor guy seemed very disappointed when we didn't let him into the house...

This sight made it almost feel like spring! |

Our canine friend, happily following Carlos and Aimy home... |
As of yesterday, we have officially been in our house for a year! Still can't believe this time last year we were sleeping on the fold-out couch in the living room, surrounded by a mess of half-unpacked stuff, with a heating system that was still in start-up mode, so we spent most of our time wrapped in blankets. Ah, the good old days...

Boxes and bags everywhere! |
In other news, Aimy had her second doctor's appointment and her first round of vaccinations today, and impressed me with her reaction. She had two shots, one in each leg, while I was feeding her, and though she did cry a little, she barely seemed phased by them, and was back to her happy self by the time she had finished eating. The doctor was impressed too - she said that she rarely has a child in her office that can handle vaccinations so well! I had been very nervous about how the appointment would go but it seems my fears were completely unfounded. Am I turning into a worrywart already?!

She's almost able to lift her shoulders now, with a little help from her pillow! |
Aimy is absolutely adorable! I can't wait to meet her and cuddle with her! Thanks for posting the pictures and updates for those of us far away. Love you and miss you!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos. It's nice to see you're getting better weather, and are sleeping through the night sometimes.
ReplyDeleteSending lots of love your way!
