Our time in BC was winding down but we still managed to do quite a few things before we left. Hilights included dinner with family friends and an amusing attempt to do plaster of Paris handprints, both of which are pictured here. And of course, there were Alixe's first steps, witnessed by Grampa and Aimy! I have videos of her first day walking but I couldn't upload them onto the blog... too bad. We did a lot of packing the last few days, and then it was back to France... until next time!

Climbing on her own at Bev and Rob's |
She almost didn't want to have dinner, she loved sliding so much |
Even Alixe tried the slide |
And of course there was time spent chatting on the phone... with Aunty Sandra, she told me later. |
Testing out one of our handprints to see if her hand is bigger |
Watching Gramma mix the plaster of Paris |
Alixe wanted to watch too |
Ready? Aim... |
We have touchdown! |
Not so thrilled about the yucky hand |
Not bad! |
First we tried her feet |
She decided to wiggle her toes and make a big mess |
Watching everyone clean up the mess |
Just handing out with Aunty Sandra |
Trying again, this time with her hand |
A bit squished, but you can sort of see her hand! |

Sunset on the plane ride back |

Flying over Manitoba. We had 6 seats for the 4 of us, which was a blessing when the kids wanted to sleep! |
Stay tuned for photos of our last few weeks of summer, plus Aimy's first day of school and more!
