More Updates

Now that the holidays are out of the way, here's an entry of the recent goings-on here, and a bunch of photos in chronological order from about the 10th of December until now.

Alixe and Aimy have both gotten over their ills, Aimy a little slower than her sister because of that ear infection. I'm still a bit sick - this cold is hanging on a lot longer than I expected it to. I need a few more days of rest to finally get back to my old self, though that's not easy with two small kids at home.

Alixe is really progressing with solids. She is now allowed to have a small amount of protein every day as well as a wider variety of vegetables and fruits. She eats much more than Aimy did at the same age, and doesn't seem to be picky (though to be fair, for Aimy, it was more a question of texture than tastes when she was at the 6-month mark). She's growing a lot too - her torso is too long for most 6-9 month stuff, but her legs and arms are still too short for anything bigger, so it makes for lots of rolled-up sleeves and cuffs.

Otherwise, I'm still in phyiso for my neck, but it seems to be getting better. Carlos is back at work and the girls sometimes surprise me with the way they play nicely with each other (though sometimes Alixe looks at me as if to say, "Save me!" when Aimy comes over to give her a cuddle. She still doesn't know her own strength, though the fact that she is so affectionate towards her sister is wonderful. Oh, and Aimy is starting to say little sentences more and more often, usually when we least expect it. And she sometimes makes up words to songs, which is adorable (though whenever I get out the video camera, she stops, of course...)
