We couldn't let my mom visit without visiting at least one castle, so on one of Carlos' afternoons off, we headed inland to the castle of Roquetaillade in Gironde. Anyone who is thinking of coming to visit should see this castle. This was our second visit and I enjoyed it just as much as the first time. (The title of this entry is in reference to a movie that was filmed using the castle exterior in the 60s.)

Amazing! No pictures of the inside, though. |
Only castle from that era still standing in this region |
Another castle and town buildings - all were razed to the ground after the area was struck by the plague. |
Beautiful |
Great picture of Aimy and me. |
Look at those eyes! |
Still loves piggy back rides! |
Laughing with Grandma... while in the church! Silly girl. |
So cute. |
Pope Clement V, buried 5 minutes by car from Roquetaillade. |
Stained glass. |
Where Clement V is buried. |
