It's definitely about time for another blog entry! Today is Carlos's first day back at school (no students until tomorrow though) and it feels surreal... where did the summer go?! Time has flown by, probably because we've been so busy.

So the last entry I talked about Aimy's first tooth. Well, she now has a second one, and I'm curious as to when those top front teeth will make an appearance. She sits up now on her own and is able to put a hand back to stop herself from falling backwards, though if she falls forward or sideways she usually lands on her face. She is super comfortable being handed around and held by pretty much anyone, and if I hold her long enough she starts trying to climb down my body to the ground. Some days she refuses to let us lay her down on her back and wants to sit up or stand (with help, of course). She is also becoming more comfortable on her stomach and will now turn in circles on her tummy. I have seen her go in reverse on her tummy too but no real forward wiggling yet.

Yep, that's right, I'm sitting up! |
In the food department, we've tried about every fruit and vegetable I can get my hands on. I make 100% of her fruit-based food but I have been buying her meat-based stuff, as I don't have the equipment to get meat and wheat etc. to the consistency she likes. She often watches us eat with a lot of curiosity, and has had a few grains of rice, some baguette and some scrambled eggs from my plate, all with considerable success. We've started introducing chunkier food and that has been going fairly well. I feel like she's getting closer to wanting to eat things on her own... we'll try that out soon. She has started to grab bottle, sippy cup and glass as it comes to her mouth (and when she drinks from a glass she doesn't spill very much! Pretty impressive!)

First ride in the big girl stroller! Soon she'll be too big for her car seat... |
Oh and I finally got those pictures of the quilt all hung up in the bedroom! It looks great.
We've had lots of exciting happenings since the last entry, and I will try to talk about them in future entries. We visited friends on holiday here, had Carlos's brother and his family visit, had some friends from the north of France stay for a few days, and I even left Carlos and Aimy for 4 days to go visit friends in Brussels and the Netherlands! Busy busy busy.
Hope everyone had a nice summer!
