Sea to Sky Gondola Trip

Flashback to July:

Back on the Mainland. Carlos and I had been up to Grouse Mountain together but never up the Sea to Sky Highway, and when we saw that the Sea to Sky Gondola had recently opened, we decided to take a chance (and our brand new, very handy stroller that survived the trip back to France with us and is now the go-to stroller for walks!) and check it out... and I'm very glad we did! We picked the perfect day too - apparently it rained the day before and the day after! And even the girls enjoyed the trip.

On the way back we made a quick stop at Shannon Falls. The girls were pretty tired by then and both napped in the car on the way back... a busy morning, but a fun one.

July Goes On

Sorry for being so behind on the blog entries. Life has been pretty busy lately. With Aimy's school - I drop her off at 8:50, pick her up at noon, drop her off again at 1:40 and pick her up for the end of the day at 4:05 - my local wind orchestra rehearsals on Friday evenings, and our two week holiday at the end of October, during which time poor Aimy fell off her bed and broke her collarbone, we've been pretty busy. I'll be sure to write more about everything later, but I'm going to try to catch up on old blog entries a bit before I do.

Back to this summer...

Not long after Carlos arrived, we decided to head over to Vancouver Island. We had a wonderful time visiting with family in Duncan and Victoria, and though the kids were a bit shy at first, they warmed up to everyone fairly quickly. It was quite hot for all of our stay, and we found out later that the weather was not great back in France... guess we picked the right year to come visit!
