Blustery Day

The long weekend has been a rainy, windy mess so far, which hasn't fit well with our initial plans to go out for walks and head to the playground. But we decided to brave the weather today and head out anyway. We first went to our usual place near Arcachon for a walk, but we set foot outside the car and were almost blown off our feet... not going to happen. We got back in the car and headed back south, hoping that the weather would improve a bit while we were driving, and we were lucky enough to arrive at the playground just as it stopped raining! Aimy was thrilled to be outside, and I think it shows by the pictures.

Someone fell asleep in the car
on the way back from Arcachon
Peeking out at me

Bundled baby chewing on
her blanket. Darn teething!
Climbing up the slide...
...only to go down it again!
Hi, Mummy!

In other news, I have been working on the letters for Alixe's door and they are almost done! Expect a post about them soon on the crafting blog. Alixe's bottom teeth have moved again and she has been a bit cranky lately and not sleeping well at night - I hope everything improves soon. And all of us are hoping this rain and wind will stop soon so we can have some more time outside!

Fall Fun

Carlos is back at work today and so far, we girls seem to be handling not having a man in the house. The weather is pretty awful - must be mirroring the moods of all those kids who don't want to go back to school! The fall colours have started to come out here and when we went for a walk yesterday the trees were just gorgeous, though with all the wind and rain we've had overnight and so far today, I'm sure it doesn't look as picturesque as it did...

A maple tree! Love the colours.
Someone's all ready for
Movember!
Caught trying to play with her
rattle
Looking up at Mummy while in the carrier
All smiles!
Trying so hard to roll over
But kind of stuck
And then decided to fall asleep on the mat. Trying to roll
over is hard work, you know.
Visiting with the neighbour's
cat
Saying "gentle" while petting
the cat
Pretty leaf
Discovering that the leaves crunch underfoot
Crunch crunch crunch
So much fun!
