First Tooth

Our little teether cut her first tooth! We found out on Thursday when she bit down on someone's finger and it hurt them. Aimy seems to be happier now that the tooth is through. I guess now it's a waiting game to see when the next one comes out.

In other news, it has been super hot here, and not easy to keep cool. Fortunately Aimy loves her bath so it's easy to get her to take a dip anywhere. We've done her own bathtub with cool water, the kitchen sink, a bathroom sink, the pool, a bucket... and no complaints.

No photos at the moment - haven't had time to upload any in the last few days. I had a nasty 48-hour bug and though I'm all recovered I haven't had much free time since getting better. Soon though, I promise!

Baby's First Swim

After another hot day, we decided to go for a swim in the lake. 31 degrees in the air and 25 degrees in the water... how could we go wrong? Aimy loved being in the water. I think we haven't had that much babbling and grinning since before this latest push from the teeth. It was hilarious to watch her get all excited about being in the water, flail her arms, splash herself in the face and then become all confused because there was water in her eyes... all in all, a great day.

Sitting up on her own for the first time!! I think the sand helped. (and wearing my hat from when I was her age)

And of course when she turned to look at me, she fell forward...
